World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

The upgrade of an item can be used to increase the stats of a particular item. Based on the type of upgrade, it can increase an item's Rarity or Mark Level and increase other stats.

Each item has a track for upgrading it. Each upgrade increases the cost of the following one by a specific amount.

Item Level

The value of an item's basic stats increases as it is upgraded. This value is the sum of an item's upgraded perks (attack magic attack and defense). Upgrades to items can be costly depending on the upgrader you choose and what kind of upgrade you decide to perform. This is due to the sheer number of perks that need to be modified to upgrade an item.

It is also used as a gating requirement when queueing for raids, dungeons and scenarios. It also serves as a gating requirement when queueing for dungeons, scenarios and raids, and to limit the amount of PvP gear a player can wear (since PvP is restricted to the lower levels). Players can view their average level of items on their character sheet.

When deciding whether to purchase or sell gear, players can compare the item level. It's a measure of the item Upgrader mod (maps.google.Nr)'s damage and its quality. The item level can also be used to compare items when looking at the inventory of a seller.

On PC, you are able to view the item level by pressing ALT or by using the left stick on XB1 or PS4. The item will be displayed with its full description, including ilvl. It can also be located by hovering an item with the mouse cursor and typing /itemlevel in chat.

There are a few theories about how the calculation of the item's level is made. One theory says that the level of an item is calculated using an equation that determines how valuable an item's stats actually are. It considers that different perks are valued differently, and that gems in sockets boost the value of the item. This can result in an item's ilvl calculated, which is usually very close to Blizzard's real level of the item.

This is not the only factor that affects the ilvl of an item. The level of the area where the item was dropped may alter its stats. For instance, it could increase the item's haste or crit score. This means that items dropped at higher levels will have more value than items dropped in lower-level instances.

Item Stats

Item stats are a big part of what determines the value of an item for players. The game utilizes them in a variety of ways to encourage players not to restrict themselves to a particular weapon and to motivate them to try out other weapons. The base stats of a weapon are boosted by the weapon's stat mods, which are themselves increased by the player's skill.

Upgrades to an item may increase the stats of an item. The rarity of an item determines its cost of upgrading. An item that is white or grey for instance, can only be upgraded one time however, items that has rare tiers can be upgraded multiple times with higher costs.

Another way to change the stats on an item is by affixing it. These are special stat boosts that can be added to an item by the player and come in a variety of shapes and sizes. The affixes could be used to give the item extra damage, or add a unique capability to the item (such as reviving the dead or cutting down the cooldowns) or make the item unique by giving an additional name to the item.

Presently, all affixes are able to be modified by selecting them in the upgrade window and pressing the green button, which is accompanied by the arrows that circle. This process will cost the player a certain amount of gold as well as items which can be added to the upgrade gauge in the same manner as the other rerolling options.

In addition to rerolling affixes, players can also choose which stats to keep on an item when it is upgraded. The stat ranges are determined by the item's level. However, all items will include at least one stat in the range, unless they are an exclusive item or an item that has a God Roll from a boss in a raid.

This is another thing that could be changed by adding the option to upgrade the equipment without having to reroll the affixes or deciding which stats to enhance. However, as with the base equipment, this would need to be done on a per-item level, and the interface for comparing items will not show all the stats that could be that were gained or lost at the same time.

Item Luck

A player's Luck stat stacks up to increase the odds of item discoveries and the properties that are spawned from loot drops and the strength of the properties. However, it does not directly affect damage or ability to upgrade items. It simply gives players a chance to upgrade their equipment earlier in the game and is thus more useful in the initial game run than later ones since most players prefer more powerful weapon scaling and defenses over the raw damage gain.

In addition to influencing item discovery, Luck also increases the chances of success when upgrading items with the Blacksmith. This should not be confused with the Blacksmith's overall upgrade probability which increases with each item level and can be further enhanced by using an anti-material, such as a Scroll of Strength or a Jewel of Blessing.

Weapons, armor, and shields can be created or spawned using the Luck property, which has the default value of 40. These items can be augmented by using golden ingots or spined leather (depending on their material type) for a further +40 luck, or to increase the Luck of an item up to 140.

Certain items, like the weapon that is infused with hollow can also be outfitted to increase the damage of any skill that deals damage by 5%. These items are available in the shop or constructed using the right ingredients.

Item Failure

Item upgrades are a costly process and not all upgrades will be successful. However, there are cash shop items that allow players to boost their success rate or prevent themselves from losing an item in the event that the upgrade is unsuccessful.

The rate of success of an upgrade can be seen in the Honing UI. The percentage represents the likelihood of successfully upgrading an item. This can be increased with Additional Materials or Special materials. The chance of success can only be increased as much, and the chance that an upgrade will fail can't exceed 100%.

The performance of an upgrades is also influenced by the luck of the item. All items have a base success rate of 25% and every item upgrade that has Luck increases the chance of success by an additional 5%.

The upgrade overlays for items are rendered above items in the inventory. This may obscure enchantment effects and other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Best item upgrade Upgrader CORE client config.
